About
The Konkurs Gepperta, held for over thirty years, opens the Biennale Malarstwa Wrocław. It is open to adult painters living in Poland regardless of formal art education, who must submit exactly three works made in 2023–2026 in any painting technique (longest side max 180 cm; a triptych counts as three works). A selection jury judges digital reproductions; the main jury judges originals at the final exhibition.
For the 15th edition, online entries ran 21 January to 23 February 2026 (23:00) with a non-refundable fee of PLN 100. Qualification results were published 6 March 2026 and the final exhibition ran 9 April to 12 May 2026 at Galeria Miejska we Wrocławiu, with laureates announced at the 9 April opening. Prizes: Grand Prix PLN 40,000 (Mayor of Wrocław), second prize PLN 15,000 (Rector of ASP), third prize PLN 10,000. The competition is biennial; the next edition is expected in 2028.
