About
The Premio Klemm is organised by the Fundación Federico Jorge Klemm in Buenos Aires, and awarded works enter the foundation's permanent collection. The 29th edition was open to artists of Argentine nationality aged 18 or over (native, naturalised, or foreign residents with more than two years' residence), who register at premioklemm.klemm.org.ar with one work dated after 2021, two reference works and a CV.
All contemporary visual arts disciplines are accepted (painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, objects, photography, digital art, video, installations and more) provided works are stable, non-ephemeral and safe. Two-dimensional works may not exceed 230 x 250 cm and three-dimensional works 230 x 280 x 200 cm; editioned works must be unpublished or within editions of six. The work must not have been entered in another similar competition.
Applications ran from 12:00 on 17 June to 23:59 on 4 September 2026. The jury (Carla Barbero, Guadalupe Chirotarrab, Leandro Martínez Depietri, Carlos Huffmann, Pablo La Padula) selects works for the exhibition and awards a First Acquisition Prize of ARS 7,000,000, a Second Acquisition Prize of ARS 4,000,000 and two non-acquisition mentions of ARS 1,500,000 each.
