About
The UOB Painting of the Year is an annual painting competition held in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam. In Singapore, citizens and permanent residents aged 16 and above may submit one artwork online in either the Established or Emerging Artist category; Established entrants must meet prerequisites such as prior exhibition history.
Submissions for the 45th edition closed on 31 July 2026. Shortlisted artists deliver physical works on 21-22 August 2026 and winners are announced at an awards ceremony in October 2026. The five country winners compete for the UOB Southeast Asian Painting of the Year, worth an additional SGD 13,000 and a residency.
