Art Technician at Dunottar School (United Learning)

Dunottar School in Reigate, part of United Learning, is appointing an Art Technician to support the Director of Visual Arts with the running of the Art department. The technician prepares materials, equipment and resources for lessons and practical activities across ceramics, sculpture, printmaking and textiles, gives technical help to staff and students, runs a weekly Key Stage 3 Art Club, maintains the studios and stores, manages stock and ordering, and helps with displays, the annual Art Exhibition, visiting artists and props for school productions.

An art-based degree or similar qualification is desirable, and the school says the post may suit an art graduate or someone interested in a route into art teaching. Health and safety record keeping (COSHH, risk assessments) and use of Microsoft Office are part of the role.
