About
The Bath Society of Artists holds its Annual Open Exhibition at the Victoria Art Gallery in Bath. Any living UK-based artist who is not a member may submit up to two original works: paintings, pastels, drawings, editioned prints (max edition 150), mixed media or sculpture. Photography, performance, video and AI-generated work are excluded. Works must not exceed 183cm along the longest dimension including frame, must not have been shown at a previous BSA Open, and must be for sale at a minimum of £100 (unframed prints excepted).
For the 121st exhibition, online entries opened at 9am on 3 June 2026 and closed at 5pm on 3 August 2026 via the OESS system. Fees were £15 per work, or £5 for artists under 21. Hand-in for non-members was 12 September, and the exhibition runs 19 September to 7 November 2026. Over £6,000 in prizes is offered across about 15 awards, including a £2,000 main prize, £1,000 runner-up, £600 public choice and £500 young artists prize. The call recurs annually.
