About
Birds in Art has been held every year since 1976 and shows around 100 works by artists from around the world interpreting birds in painting, sculpture and other original media (photography excluded). Selected artists are invited to the opening weekend and a touring selection travels to other museums.
Recent calls accepted up to two works with a $60 processing fee and closed in mid-April (14 April 2025, 15 April 2024), with the exhibition opening in September and running to January.
The 2027 prospectus has not been published; the museum's site invites artists to sign up for the next call. Details should be confirmed with the museum ([email protected]).
