About
Fresh is the British Ceramics Biennial's exhibition for artists at a launch moment in their practice, working in the UK or Ireland. It includes recent graduates, self-taught makers and community-workshop artists. The 2025 edition selected 25 artists through open submission, chosen by a panel of artists, curators and educators alongside a youth panel.
Four Fresh Talent Prizes were awarded in 2025, each a £2,500 award with a residency at a host institution and an invitation to show new work at BCB 2027.
The organiser states that the next call-out for Fresh will be in spring 2027, for the 2027 Biennial in Stoke-on-Trent. Sign up to the BCB newsletter to be notified.
