About

Collect Open is the section of the Crafts Council's Collect fair reserved for independent artists, makers and designers rather than galleries. Applicants propose bold, craft-led installations or artworks showing a fresh direction in their practice; an expert advisory panel selects the exhibitors, who show alongside leading galleries and meet collectors, curators and institutions.

Applications for 2027 opened 20 May and closed 21 June 2026, with a £60 application fee. The fair runs at Somerset House, London, from 24 to 28 February 2027 (previews 24 and 25 February).

The call reopens annually in late spring; the Crafts Council newsletter announces each round.
