About

Ateliers d'Art de France, the trade body for the métiers d'art, runs an annual competition in two categories, Création and Patrimoine. Candidates must be professionals working in France in a trade on the official métiers d'art list, with the workshop's head office in the region where they compete; members and non-members may apply.

The submitted piece must be new to the contest and not previously awarded: Création pieces made after 1 January 2025, Patrimoine pieces after 1 January 2023. Applications close on Wednesday 2 December 2026.

Each regional winner receives 1,000 EUR, and selected works are shown in regional exhibitions between February and May 2027 (the Grand Est stage at the Cité du Faire, Jarville-la-Malgrange, 2 to 4 April 2027). The national stage follows in early July 2027, with the two national winners offered a stand at MAISON&OBJET or the Salon International du Patrimoine Culturel.
