About
The Prix Godecharle has been awarded since 1881 by the Fondation Godecharle to young artists and architects. The 2027 competition is open to Belgians, or EU nationals resident in Belgium for at least two years, who are under 35 on 1 January of the competition year and have not previously been selected. Disciplines are architecture, painting/visual arts and sculpture.
Candidates register online, then go through presentation, jury and exhibition stages. Three laureates each receive a grant of EUR 14,000 to make new work, conduct research, travel or give new impetus to their career. The foundation's site confirms the 2027 edition but does not yet state the registration deadline; the 2025 edition closed 13 March 2025.
