About
The Discerning Eye is an annual exhibition of small-scale works chosen by six selectors (two artists, two collectors and two critics), each of whom curates their own section. Around 700 works are chosen from several thousand online entries.
It is open to UK-based emerging and established artists. All works must be no larger than 50cm in any direction including the frame and must be available for sale (a 40% + VAT commission applies).
The 2026 exhibition runs 13-21 November at Mall Galleries, with an accompanying online showcase. More than £9,000 in prizes and purchase awards is available. The 2026 call closed on 27 August 2026.
