About
The Eldon + Anne Foote Edmonton Visual Arts Prize, funded by the Eldon + Anne Foote Fund at Edmonton Community Foundation and administered by CARFAC Alberta with the Edmonton Arts Council, recognises a single visual artwork (any object or installation, regardless of size, style, medium or materials) publicly displayed in a gallery or organisation in the Greater Edmonton area during the calendar year before the deadline.
An independent jury selects one primary recipient ($15,000) and two finalists ($5,000 each). The 2026 recipient was Elsa Robinson, with runners-up AJA Louden and Kiona Callihoo Ligtvoet; the 2026 deadline was 19 January 2026.
Artists submit an application form and artist declaration online via CARFAC Alberta. The 2027 application is expected to open in late 2026 for work shown during 2026.
