About
Artists in Action and Elsinore Fine Art Gallery invite Oregon visual artists to submit textile-based work for the first annual Fiber Arts Show, held in November 2026 at Elsinore Framing & Fine Art Gallery, 444 Ferry St SE, Salem. Accepted media include knitting, weaving, quilting, embroidery, macrame, felting, rug hooking, lace making, basketry, sewing and papermaking, as well as fiber-based painting, collage, sculpture, photography and mixed media. A companion Upcycled Creations Fashion Show features wearable pieces made from recycled materials, worn at the opening reception.
Artists may submit up to three works for the exhibition and up to four for the fashion show. Fees are $30 for AiA members and $40 for non-members; students aged 25 and under pay $20 for the exhibition only. 2D work may be no larger than 18 x 24 inches, and work previously shown in any AiA exhibit may not be submitted. The gallery takes a 40% commission on sales.
Submissions opened 3 August 2026 and close Tuesday 20 October 2026 at 11:00pm, with notification on 21 October. The exhibition runs 6-28 November 2026, with a reception and fashion show on Friday 6 November. Exhibition awards include Best of Show and several category awards (amounts not stated); fashion show prizes are $300, $150, $100 and a $50 People's Choice.
