About

Five Points Comics, an online comic publisher in Vienna, runs a themed comic competition each season. The autumn 2026 theme is Metamorphosis, after Kafka's tale of a boy who turns into a bug: a brief for shape-shifting, mutation and transformation of every kind.

Entry is free and open to all ages, in two categories: Young (under 18) and Adult (18 and over). The comic must relate to the theme and run from one to four pages, in colour or black and white, with text in English. It is submitted as a single PDF by email to [email protected], with the entrant's full name, age group, email address and comic title in the page margins. AI should not be used in making the comic.

The winning comic is published on the Five Points Comics website and sold in its online store. The winning artist is interviewed, appears in the featured artist section and receives a free Five Points Comics publication. There is no cash prize. The deadline is 30 November 2026.
