Freelance Monogram Artist at Father & Finn

Father & Finn is hiring freelance artists to hand-paint one-, two- and three-letter acrylic monograms on canvas tote bags for its autumn and holiday production. All materials are provided and the painting is done at home on the artist's own schedule. Bags are picked up and dropped off in downtown Brooklyn, so being based nearby is a plus.

The company wants detail-oriented painters with a steady hand and an eye for clean lettering. Most orders are three-letter monograms; beginners typically take about an hour per bag and experienced painters around 40 minutes.

Pay is per bag: $25 for a three-letter monogram, $20 for two letters and $15 for one letter. The engagement is freelance (1099 independent contractor) with a minimum commitment of 10 bags a week, with the possibility of more and of continuing beyond the season.

To apply, submit a resume and work samples through the NYFA listing and say which neighbourhood of Brooklyn or New York you are based in. Applications without work samples are not considered.
