About
Generaciones has been run by Fundación Montemadrid since 2000 to support young artists resident in Spain through the production of new projects. For Generación 2027, six projects are selected and each receives EUR 12,000 (EUR 10,000 for production and EUR 2,000 in fees); the resulting works are exhibited together at La Casa Encendida in Madrid in February 2027.
The call was open from 29 January to 24 March 2026 (12:00) to Spanish and foreign artists over 18 and resident in Spain who were no older than 35 at the closing date. Projects may be in progress rather than finished, so juries can assess the creative process. The call recurs annually in the first quarter.
