About

The Institut pour la photographie, founded in 2018 by the Hauts-de-France region with the Rencontres d'Arles, is recruiting a head of exhibition production. Reporting to the director, the post-holder leads the production team and oversees everything needed to produce, install and run the institute's exhibitions and project showings, including budgets, loans, contracts with artists and curators, and work with labs, framers and audiovisual suppliers.

The role also supervises art registration (transport, insurance, installation and de-installation), scenography and touring exhibitions, and contributes to the institute's artistic programme and its work supporting artists. The institute currently programmes off-site while a new building is planned.

Candidates need a master's-level degree, at least ten years in exhibition production including three in a similar post, CAD skills (SketchUp, AutoCAD), knowledge of conservation and display standards, good knowledge of photography, English and a driving licence. The contract is a full-time CDI from January 2027 with a base of €3,400 gross a month, meal vouchers and a mobility allowance. First-round interviews are on 8 and 9 December 2026.
