About
The HERALBONY Art Prize is an international award for artists with disabilities who wish to pursue careers in art. There are no age, gender or nationality restrictions, and both professional and amateur artists may enter; submissions may be made by the artist, a family member or an affiliated organisation.
Only two-dimensional works suitable for wall display are accepted (paintings, prints, digital art, photographs, mixed media and wall-mounted installations). Sculpture, three-dimensional works, video and audio are excluded. Works must be no more than 200cm on the longest side and weigh 15kg or less including frame.
Entry is free via an online form. First-round results are expected in late December 2026 and second-round results in mid-March 2027. The finalists' exhibition takes place in Tokyo from late May to late June 2027. The Grand Prize is ¥3,000,000, with Jury Prizes of ¥300,000 each and additional corporate prizes.
