Hospitalfield Autumn Residency (2027 round)

Hospitalfield's Autumn Residency offers six UK-based contemporary visual art practitioners, two or more years out of education, four weeks living and working in the house, studios and grounds at Arbroath. In 2026 it ran 31 August to 27 September.

Each resident receives a £2,200 bursary and £100 travel budget, full board, 24-hour studio access, studio visits with the selectors and facilitated peer discussion. Applicants submit a project proposal (text or audio) through Submittable; site-specific proposals are discouraged. There is no application fee.

The 2026 deadline was 26 May 2026. Hospitalfield also runs interdisciplinary, graduate, DD-postcode studio and exchange residencies with separate calls listed on its opportunities page.
