About
The Junta General del Principado de Asturias convened its third painting biennial by resolution of 29 July 2026. Any adult born or resident in Spain may enter one original, unpublished painting measuring between 40 and 150 cm on each side, with free theme and technique.
Registration by email ran from 1 September to 2 October 2026 with up to three photographs of the work; the jury pre-selects from images, then requests physical delivery and chooses no more than twenty finalists for an exhibition at the parliament's seat with a catalogue.
First prize is 12,000 EUR and second prize 8,000 EUR; winning works join the parliament's art collection. The jury includes three voting members, two from institutions outside Asturias. The call is biennial.
