About
The Indian Ceramics Triennale is a large-scale exhibition of contemporary ceramics. Its 2027 edition, titled 'At Play', explores the forces shaping our world through creative play, invention and disruption, and will be held at the National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai, from 5 November to 23 December 2027.
The open call was free and open to professional and emerging artists over 18 working in ceramics or exploring clay in interdisciplinary practice, Indian or international, excluding artists shown in previous editions. No production grants are offered, but the Triennale covers reasonable installation requirements and one-way transport within India; international shipping is the artist's responsibility. Applications were via Google Form and closed on 15 May 2026.
