About
The Lucie Foundation Scholarship Program supports photographers aged 18 and over worldwide with four awards across two disciplines, Fine Art and Photojournalism/Documentary. Each discipline has a Professional category (for those earning most of their income from photography) and an Emerging category (students, photographers in their first five years, or those whose main income is not photography).
Professional winners receive a $3,000 cash prize; Emerging winners receive $1,000, with the emerging documentary winner also receiving a Sony camera and lens. Winners join a group exhibition touring House of Lucie galleries in Los Angeles, Athens, Budapest, Ostuni and Samui.
Applications are made at submit.luciefoundation.org with a project proposal of up to 1,500 characters, a one-page bio/CV and 20 JPG images. The entry fee is $25 per professional submission and $15 per emerging submission. The 2026 deadline was extended to 15 October 2026, with results due in October 2026.
