About
The Mandorla Art Award has been held in Western Australia since 1985 and invites artists to respond to a set theme drawn from scripture (2026: 'What is Truth?'). It is administered by the Mandorla Centre of Inner Peace.
The 2026 prizes were: Mandorla Art Award (acquisitive) $30,000; two Highly Commended prizes of $7,000 (Catholic Archdiocese and Rev'd John Ward Memorial); Emerging Artist Prize $7,000; People's Choice $2,000; and the Mandorla Artist Residency at New Norcia, a $10,000 fee plus three weeks' accommodation and studio. Entry fee was $50, paid online.
The 2026 exhibition ran 9–30 May 2026 at Holmes à Court Gallery, West Perth, then toured. The organiser states that entries for the 2028 award open in late 2027; the 2028 theme and dates are not yet published.
