About
Artist Start is the Mondriaan Fund's development grant for artists at the beginning of their professional career. It is open to visual artists living and working in the Netherlands or the Caribbean part of the Kingdom who have been practising professionally for one to four years and whose taxable income in the application period does not exceed EUR 55,000.
The grant is EUR 24,900 for a twelve-month period, to be spent on deepening and developing the artist's practice. Applications can be submitted at any time via the fund's online portal; allow three months for processing.
