About
Mophradat creates opportunities for artists from the Arab world. Its Art Time Residencies: Visual Arts strand places artists in residency programmes abroad; the 2026 edition was a pilot with CAPACETE in Rio de Janeiro, adding artists from the Arab world to CAPACETE's annual programme of research, courses and a summer residency.
Applicants must be from the Arab world, be working on a project or researching new ideas, and show they are active in local or international visual arts scenes; transdisciplinary practitioners are encouraged. The 2026 call has closed and the next call has not yet been published. Mophradat's related New Agents programme (a ten-month collaborative curatorial programme with a USD 6,000 stipend) is open until 6 December 2026.
