Part Time Fine Art Painting and Drawing Tutor at Sunny Art Centre

Sunny Art Centre, an independent art school in Covent Garden specialising in classical drawing and painting training based on atelier methods and Old Master techniques, is looking for a Fine Art Drawing and Painting Tutor. The role involves teaching small group classes and possibly private tuition to students of all ages and levels, from beginners to those preparing portfolios or developing a professional practice.

The tutor should be confident teaching observational and academic drawing, oil painting, charcoal and tonal studies, portraiture and still life, colour theory and composition, and classical and contemporary painting approaches. A strong fine art background, previous teaching experience and the ability to teach mixed abilities are required; a Fine Art degree is preferred. Atelier training, portfolio preparation, watercolour or acrylic skills and life drawing teaching are desirable.

The post is part time with flexible freelance hours, paid £20 an hour, and is in person at the Covent Garden studio. To apply, send a CV, a portfolio or website, and a short cover letter outlining teaching experience and artistic background.
