About

The eleventh Premio Mestre di Pittura accepts one painting per artist, made in 2025 or later, with free theme and technique. The competition is open to all without limits of age or nationality.

Applications must be received by Sunday 29 November 2026. A technical jury selects sixty finalist works for the exhibition at MUVEC in Mestre from 9 April to 16 May 2027, each reproduced full-page in the printed catalogue. The jury then names the winners: the first-prize work enters the permanent collection of Ca' Pesaro (Galleria Internazionale d'Arte Moderna, Venice) and the second and third are displayed permanently in city institutions.

Further prizes include an artist residency at the Emeroteca dell'Arte, purchase prizes from CGIA Mestre, Rotary Club Venezia Mestre and Federfarma Mestre, solo shows for the first and second prize winners, and a popular jury prize.
