About
The Prix Elysée, created by Photo Elysée in Lausanne with Parmigiani Fleurier, supports mid-career photographers and artists using photography who are established nationally but have not yet had a retrospective. It is open to all nationalities. Eight nominees each receive CHF 5,000 to develop a project proposal; the winner receives CHF 40,000 to complete the project and a further CHF 40,000 for its exhibition and promotion, including a book.
The call for the 2025 edition ran from 10 November 2023 to 28 January 2024 via Picter with no application fee; nominees were announced in June 2024 and the winner in June 2025. The prize is biennial, but no call for a 2027 edition had been published on the organiser's site at the time of research, so the next round is unconfirmed.
