About
Quilt National is a biennial juried exhibition organised by the Dairy Barn Arts Center in Athens, Ohio, dedicated to contemporary art quilts. The 2027 edition accepted entries from 1 May to 30 August 2026, with notification on 9 October 2026. The exhibition runs 28 May to 5 September 2027 before touring internationally from September 2027 to October 2029.
Entry is open internationally; work must have been completed after 30 August 2024, be of original design, and not have been exhibited or published before the stated dates. Each artist may submit up to three works for a $50 fee ($35 for members; waived for first-time applicants).
Awards total roughly $25,650, including Best of Show ($7,500), Most Innovative Use of Material ($5,000), Award of Excellence ($5,000) and a Young Emerging Artist Award ($2,500, under 30), plus smaller cash and travel awards.
