About
SIAP is the Arts Council of Northern Ireland's core programme for individual artists, funding research, creation time, training, mentoring and travel. Strands include the General Arts Award, the Major Individual Artist Award, Artists Career Enhancement Scheme and Travel Awards. Emerging artists (under five years' professional practice) are particularly welcomed.
Applications are made through the Arts Council's online system. The 2026/27 project-funding deadline was 12 noon on 30 July 2026, with advice sessions run through University of Atypical from June.
The programme typically opens annually in June or July; the 2027/28 dates had not been published at the time of checking.
