About
The Swatch Art Peace Hotel occupies the historic Palace Hotel building on the Bund in Shanghai. Since 2011 the Swatch Group has invited artists from around the world to live and work there for three to six months in one of 18 studios and apartments, and encourages residents to make their presence felt throughout the building.
Applications are made through the 'Apply now' link on the hotel's website. The site does not publish deadlines, selection rounds, eligibility criteria or costs; residencies are understood to be offered without charge to selected artists, but this is not stated on the pages consulted.
