About
The British Photography Awards is an annual not-for-profit competition celebrating British photography and raising money for charity partners. Entry is open to full-time residents of the United Kingdom or holders of a valid UK passport, with no stated age restriction. Images are entered into themed categories, each with its own award; there is no overall winner. Photographs must be digital JPEGs (or scans) of at least 1920 pixels on the longest side with EXIF data intact and captions describing location, equipment and context; AI manipulation is prohibited.
For the 2026 edition, entries opened on 17 July 2026 and closed on 16 August 2026, with the awards ceremony on 1 November 2026. Entry costs £5 per image via entry credits, with up to 40 images per category. Winners are invited to the awards ceremony. The 2027 opening date is listed as to be confirmed.
