About
The Toronto Arts Council's Visual Artists Program: Creation funds the creation of new work by professional visual artists living in Toronto. Grants are CAD 10,000; Deaf artists and artists with disabilities may add a TAC Accessibility Grant of up to CAD 5,000, and application support of up to CAD 500 is available.
Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, pending permanent residents or Protected Persons, resident in Toronto for at least a year, with at least one year of independent practice after full-time study. Film and video makers apply to the Media Artists Program instead. One application per year.
The programme has a rolling deadline: applications are taken through TAC Grants Online until 1 October each year and reopen on 15 October for the next granting year. Notification comes about four months after submission.
