About
The Royal College of Art is looking for an established computational researcher, creative technologist or artist to join its MA/MFA Artificial Intelligence and Digital Art (AiDA) programme as Tutor (Research). The tutor leads teaching in creative coding and helps postgraduate artists move into machine learning, generative and agentic AI.
The role encourages students to examine how AI systems are built and what biases they carry, and to experiment across creative coding, photography, installation, performance, robotics, software, moving image and networked media. The tutor also contributes to curriculum design, supervision and assessment, and pursues their own research and funding bids.
Applicants need advanced programming and creative coding skills, expertise in contemporary AI or machine learning, and a strong research profile in computational art or a related field. The post is full time and permanent, with a listed salary band of £50k+. Apply through the RCA jobs site.
