About
The Winnipeg Arts Council's Individual Artist Grant Program supports the creation of new work in any art form by Winnipeg artists, including development, production, curation or exhibition. Category A offers up to CAD 7,000 for mid-career and established artists; Category B up to CAD 3,000 for emerging artists. Deaf artists and artists with disabilities may receive extra accessibility support.
Projects must begin no earlier than 1 June 2027. There are two deadlines a year, in early March and early September.
The 2027 guidelines are published and the GoSmart application opens in mid-December 2026; the deadline is Tuesday 2 March 2027. First-time applicants are encouraged to contact the grants consultant.
