About

Y Lle Celf is the visual arts pavilion of the National Eisteddfod, showing work chosen by a team of selectors from open submission. Entrants must have been born in Wales, have a Welsh-born parent, speak or write Welsh, or have lived or worked in Wales for three years before the festival.

Prizes at recent festivals: the Gold Medal for Fine Art with £5,000; the Gold Medal for Craft and Design with £5,000; a New Artist Scholarship of £1,500 for artists under 30; and an Architecture scholarship and medal. Work must not have been shown at a previous Eisteddfod.

The 2027 Eisteddfod runs 31 July to 7 August 2027 at Cemaes on the Dyfi. Registration for the 2024 exhibition closed on 1 April; the 2027 deadline had not been published at the time of checking.
