2D Artist (FTC 6 Months) at StoryToys

StoryToys, a Dublin-based developer of educational apps for children and a subsidiary of Team17, is seeking a mid-level 2D Artist with a UI specialism on a six-month fixed-term contract. The artist produces screens, buttons, icons, menus and overlays for a preschool audience, translates creative direction and licensed brand guidelines (the company works with LEGO, Disney, Mattel and BBC Studios) into polished UI, builds reusable UI components and style guides, prepares assets for Unity and contributes supporting illustrations, backgrounds and props.

Applicants need professional experience as a 2D or UI artist in games or interactive media, a portfolio of polished UI work with sound 2D fundamentals, strong composition, colour and typography skills, proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator or equivalent and familiarity with Figma, and an understanding of UI asset preparation for Unity and mobile constraints. Experience with children's apps, licensed IP, Unity UI assembly, localisation and Agile tools is preferred.
