Art Lead at Unusual Technologies

Unusual Technologies is a small specialist team that takes on technology, design and art projects for clients including museums, theme parks, video game companies and universities. It wants an Art Lead to own the visual standard across all its client and in-house work.

The job is hands-on: the art lead produces much of the art personally, from 2D art, UI and 3D modelling and texturing to animation, pitch decks and web visuals, and directs an existing bench of freelancers for anything else. The studio does not plan to hire more in-house artists. It asks for a strong eye across 2D and 3D, experience making art for real-time engines (ideally Unity), and comfort moving between very different projects; existing leads and experienced artists are both welcome.

The post is 30 hours a week with flexible hours, two office days in Brighton, and pay of up to £60,000 (£75,000 full-time equivalent). Holiday is unlimited with a minimum of 25 days plus bank holidays.
