About
Solihull Cultural Education Partnership is running Streets Studio, a detached youth arts project in Chelmsley Wood and Marston Green with Solihull Council and youth workers from MAPA, funded until March 2027. It wants artists from a wide range of practices, including visual arts, street art, filmmaking and digital media, to lead informal drop-in sessions on the youth bus and at centres alongside at least two youth workers.
Artists design and lead hands-on, inclusive sessions and adapt them to the young people who turn up. Applicants need at least two years' experience working with children and young people, ideally in community settings, an Enhanced DBS, public liability insurance of at least £5 million and up-to-date safeguarding knowledge.
The fee is £150 per two-hour session, with at least five sessions per artist. Applications are taken on a rolling basis until delivery ends.
