Associate Lead Cinematic Animator at Larian Studios

Larian Studios, the developer of Baldur's Gate 3 and Divinity: Original Sin 2, is hiring an Associate Lead Cinematic Animator for its Dublin studio. The role partners with the lead cinematic animators, animation director and head of animation to develop the studio's cinematic animation style, mentors and grows a team of cinematic animators in Dublin, gives feedback to meet quality and visual goals, takes part in technical research on cinematic features, and works with production on schedules and pipelines.

Applicants need at least five years in cinematic animation and two years as a team lead or manager, experience in both motion capture and keyframe animation, game engine experience with an understanding of cinematic systems, expert Maya skills, technical feature development experience, a grounding in visual storytelling, cinematography, staging and acting, and experience with Autodesk Flow. Mocap performance direction, MEL or Python scripting, outsourcing and cinematic artist experience are nice to have.
