About
Award is the British Ceramics Biennial's main prize exhibition. It is open to UK-based individual practitioners, collaborators or collectives who use clay as their primary material, and favours experimentation, risk-taking and ambition; established artists are welcome.
Ten artists are chosen through an open submission process and shown at the Biennial, where one is awarded the Award prize. The 2025 prize went to Jo Taylor.
The organiser said the call-out for Award 2027 would take place in summer 2026; it is not shown as open on the opportunities page, so it has probably closed. Exhibition dates for the 2027 Biennial have not been published.
