About

The Universalmuseum Joanneum in Graz is looking for a carpentry foreman for its central workshop, the go-to person for the installation team across its venues, including the Kunsthaus Graz, the Joanneumsviertel and Schloss Eggenberg.

The foreman plans and schedules the team's work with the workshop head, maintains the machines, makes objects, sets, display aids and exhibition walls, loads and unloads trucks, receives artworks and organises their temporary storage, and helps with painting and other tasks when artworks and exhibitions are installed and dismantled.

Applicants need a completed carpentry apprenticeship with at least four years' experience, ideally as a foreman, good computer skills, care and respect when working with art, and a driving licence. The post is 40 hours a week, initially for nine months with a permanent contract intended, from €2,777 gross a month.
