About

The City of Surrey's Culture Division is recruiting ceramic arts instructors to teach preschoolers, children, youth and adults, with the option of spring break and summer camps. Classes can cover wheel throwing, hand building and surface decoration, and instructors submit lesson plans and supply lists, set up and maintain the studio space, and may develop new programmes.

The city asks for a degree or diploma in visual arts, art education or a related field (or related experience), at least a year of teaching, a current Emergency First Aid with CPR-C certificate, and strong classroom management; a BC driving licence is an asset.

Pay is C$33.70 an hour. Apply through the City of Surrey careers site, job ID 7394. The posting body gives a deadline of 20 November 2026 (the board summary says 22 November).
