Curator, Stepping in Screen at Aberdeen Performing Arts

Aberdeen Performing Arts wants an experienced independent curator to take Stepping in Screen, its public platform for digital and screen-based artwork on the Music Hall screen, into its next phase. The curator will set the programme's vision, choose existing work and commission new pieces, support artists including emerging ones, build partnerships and audience activity, and link the programme to APA's festivals.

Applicants need a strong curatorial record in visual art, moving image or digital art, experience of commissioning artists, and knowledge of screen presentation, rights and accessibility. The application is a statement of up to 500 words, an outline of the approach for the first 12 months, a CV, project examples, two referees and confirmation of availability.

Applications go by email to [email protected] with the subject line "Stepping in Screen Curator Application". The fee is not given on the listing; full details are on APA's opportunities page.
