Emerging Artist Commissions at Peshkar

Peshkar, an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation based in Oldham, is looking for a new cohort of emerging artists under the age of 30 from any art form, including visual and digital arts, to develop participatory practice with young people. Experience of participatory or digital work is not required.

Each commission is a 10-day engagement (8 hours a day) with flexible working, including mentoring, training, help producing digital content for Peshkar's channels, time to make and deliver a participatory piece with a target group, and a chance to show work at Peshkar's Young Digitals Festival. The current focus is Oldham as Greater Manchester Town of Culture.

The total contract value is £1,665. Peshkar particularly welcomes under-represented artists and those living in Greater Manchester, Pennine Lancashire or West Yorkshire (Calderdale and Kirklees). Expressions of interest are reviewed roughly quarterly via an online form.
