Environment Artist (Expression of Interest) at Blind Squirrel Games

Blind Squirrel Games is inviting expressions of interest from environment artists for potential upcoming full-time positions at its Auckland studio. Environment artists create environments, terrain, models, textures and assets in realistic or stylised styles, apply composition, set dressing, lighting and materials to build spaces that support gameplay, integrate and optimise content in the engine and use procedural techniques for large-scale elements.

Applicants need at least three years of game industry experience specialising in environment art (five or more for senior responsibilities), experience on game projects, a portfolio of high-quality environments and assets, proficiency in 3D modelling, texturing and material creation, and strong foundations in composition, shape and colour. Unreal Engine 5, Maya or 3ds Max, ZBrush and Substance are preferred.

The posting is an expression of interest for potential upcoming full-time positions, fully onsite at the Auckland studio. Pay is not stated. Apply through the Indeed listing.
