About
The Inlaks–Asia Art Archive Art Grant supports artists who propose methods of art-making involving research, collaboration, workshops and formal experiments with archives: institutional archives in any field, artists' personal archives, public libraries and databases, or anthologies, timelines and maps. Extensions of ongoing projects are eligible and grantees are not required to deliver a finished work.
Applicants must be Indian citizens resident in India, born between 1 January 1991 and 1 January 2001 (collectives are eligible if all members qualify). Previous Inlaks grantees cannot apply. The application is a single PDF or ZIP with an artist statement, a project proposal with timeline and budget, a portfolio of three to five recent projects and a two-page CV, submitted via Google Form.
The deadline is Monday 30 November 2026. Shortlisted candidates are interviewed online in early December and the grantee is notified by 15 December 2026; the grant period runs 1 January to 31 December 2027.
