About
The Puffin Foundation makes small grants, to a maximum of $3,500, to artists and arts organisations whose work is often excluded from mainstream opportunities, with an emphasis on social and environmental activism. Funding goes only to US residents with a social security number or to US-based non-profits; projects or organisations with budgets over $250,000 are not eligible, and travel, education and book publishing are not funded.
Application request forms are accepted in discipline windows. For the 2027 cycle, fine arts, music, photography and environmental activism requests are under review with decisions sent on a rolling basis through the fall; film/video and theatre request forms are accepted from 14 September to 20 November.
No application fee is mentioned.
