Kids Visual Arts Teacher at Art on Canvas for Kids

Art on Canvas for Kids is looking for art teachers for its after-school programme in Castle Hill, New South Wales. Teachers guide children through art projects, encourage creativity and expression, manage attendance, keep materials and spaces in order, and give brief progress updates to parents, carers and school staff.

Classroom teaching experience is not required: the company welcomes artists, art students, educators and creative people who enjoy working with children, and provides lesson plans, materials, training and support. There are opportunities to lead classes and take on more responsibility.

Hours are weekday afternoons, generally 3pm to 5pm, on a freelance or casual basis, paying $33 to $37 an hour. A valid Working With Children Check number is essential and a driver's licence is preferred. Apply through Indeed by answering the application questions.
