Mobile Art Class Facilitator at Wak Wak Studio

Wak Wak Studio runs hands-on creative workshops for corporate events, private celebrations and groups at venues across Melbourne, including painting, terrariums, kokedama, flower crowns and wreath making. It is hiring a casual facilitator to lead workshops of 6 to 20 participants independently and to work alongside others at events of 30 to 50, demonstrating techniques, preparing and transporting materials, setting up and packing down, and photographing guests.

Essential requirements are demonstrated painting experience in both acrylic and watercolour, a current driver's licence and a reliable car, a Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain one, and availability for occasional weekday, evening and weekend bookings. Air-dry clay, jewellery-making and previous facilitation or teaching experience are highly regarded. Training in the studio's workshop formats is provided.

Pay is $32.18 an hour Monday to Saturday and $45.05 an hour on Sundays, plus superannuation, with shifts of about five hours and 5 to 15 hours a week depending on bookings. Apply with a CV, a short introduction, 3 to 5 examples of your acrylic and watercolour painting, your availability including over Christmas and January, confirmation of licence, car and WWCC status, and two references.
